-"I am who I am today because I keep God and Recovery first in my life. I know that without either of things, I have nothing and will lose everything."
John grew up in Baltimore and became "Addicted" to the fast life of anger, money, and drugs. He lost everything that mattered to him throughout his life through periods of being clean, but eventual relapse. John has been in recovery, free from drugs/alcohol since late 2012. He is unconditionally committed to his own recovery as well as the recovery of men and women that turn to Noah's House for help. John gives full credit to Jesus, for forgiveness and hope, for where he is today.
He is happily married to his wife Maggie and they have two children, Noah and Grace. He believes in order for him to keep what he has, he must give it away, which is his vision for Noah's House. It has always been his heart's desire to have a family, and together give those in recovery hope and to show them Christ and a new way of life. To show people that they have worth and that they are not their mistakes.
His favorite verse: Psalms 37:4 Delight in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart gives him hope. Those words make him want to share that hope, his faith in God, and his experiences to prayerfully help someone who is lost and desperate.
Maggie Lloyd is the wife of John Lloyd. Together they have two beautiful children; a son named Noah and a daughter named Gracie. God and Recovery have made her life possible today.
Maggie is passionate about helping those in addiction find their path to Recovery because she knows the darkness addiction brings and the true freedom of Recovery.
Maggie wants those struggling to really know that same freedom. She knows the beauty of this journey and I want to help others see it too.
John and his wife Tracy have been married since 1991 and have two adult children, Caleb and Rachel. They have been actively engaged in different ministry areas since coming to faith in Jesus Christ. John came to Noah's House in 2017 with a desire to see each man grow to Christ-like maturity. John believes this happens through the teaching and application of God's Word, discipleship, and developing relationships within the Noah's House family. John enjoys time with his family and looking for opportunities to share Jesus. He and his family can be described as "home-bodies", who enjoy living simple lives for the glory of God.
