Hello and welcome to our site!  We created this webpage so that relatives and friends can be a part of our adoption journey.  For those who don't know us, here's a little information.  We live in Alabama, are both 33 years old, and have been married since 1999. We attend a great church in Montgomery, The Church at Silver Springs.  Bruce works for an architectural firm, and Jamie is a legal secretary.  The child (or children) that we adopt during this journey will be our first!

Adoption was discussed even before we got married, and then we thought and prayed about adoption for several years after our marriage.  After making the decision to adopt, we quickly decided that we wanted to adopt internationally.  We researched several different countries and decided on Ukraine because we felt drawn toward that area of the world and because we wanted to use Lifeline Children’s Services.  We trusted Lifeline and knew other people who had been very pleased with their services. When we discovered that Lifeline had a Ukraine program, the choice was very easy.

Our goal is to have a journal that will be updated as often as possible while we are in Ukraine. This page will serve as our means of communication with family and friends during our trip and also allow people to contact us. We also hope this site will be helpful to anyone who is interested in adoption.
